Easy Navy Bean Soup


1 pound dried C&F Foods Navy Beans
6 cups water (more as needed, up to 3 additional cups)
1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes
1 onion, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 pound ham, chopped
1 cube chicken bouillon
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
3 teaspoons garlic powder
1 bay leaf
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste


How to Prep and Cook Dried Beans
Rinse and soak dried beans.
Combine drained beans, water, tomatoes, onion, celery, garlic, ham, bouillon, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and bay leaf in a large pot; bring to a boil. Lower heat, cover, and simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Add additional water if needed. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Simmer for an additional 1 to 2 hours. Discard bay leaf and serve. Serves 10.
