1/2 cup dried C&F Foods Pinto Beans
3/4 cup cocoa
1/2 cup melted butter
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 pounds powdered sugar (7 1/2 cups)
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
1 pinch salt
How to Prep and Cook Dried Beans
Rinse, soak, and cook dried beans.
Purée 1 cup of the cooked beans (save leftover beans for another use) in a food processor. Add bean purée to a mixing bowl and blend with the cocoa, melted butter, and vanilla. Mix in the sugar, walnuts, and salt. Butter a 9 x 13 inch pan and spread the mixture inside. Refrigerate and chill thoroughly. Cut into squares before serving. Serves 8.
